Seniors Ministry - "Silver Eagles"
The mission of the Golden Gate Senior’s Ministry is to spiritually administer to mature Christians through motivational Bible study, fellowship, and inspiring prayer. Additionally, to demonstrate love in our church and community, to reach out to the unsaved and continually be the wind beneath the wings of those striving to grow in their spiritual walk.
The Ministry goal is to encourage one another to be strong, courageous, and steadfast in our senior years by continuing to be obedient to the commands of God.
Senior Meetings ...2nd and 4th Wednesday, (of each month) 11:00a.m.
We provide spiritual development and enrichment through the following activities:
Bible Study
Prayer Meetings
Nurturing Lunch
Field Trips
Movies
Home Fellowship
Special Event/Worship Service ...The Silver Eagle Luncheon & Senior Annual Day (Sept/yearly)
Honor/Award ... The Silver Eagle Award. Honorees...Awarded the Silver Eagle Statue
Purpose…To recognize senior-aged members of the church for their faithfulness, spiritual maturity, selfless-dedicated service, and attitude of love toward the body of believers at GGMBC and the surrounding communities. Age Qualification..75yrs. . Membership 25 yrs.
Honor/Award ... Seniors Age 70--presented with the Silver Eagle Pin/Boutonniere
Honor/Service ... Mother’s Board Selection
Mother’s Board
Purpose ... The Mother’s Board is a group of senior women of Golden Gate who have served in leadership in previous years. They possess a collection of wisdom and experience vital to the church. They stand ready and available to lift the church as a body and individual members in prayer, as well as, provide godly wisdom and counsel.
Age Qualification 75 yrs. Membership 25yrs.
Our objective is to increase membership and participation. To encourage more senior men to be more involved in the Ministry.
*The church provides some transportation for Senior Meetings and various events.
