Deaconesses Ministry
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Deaconesses Ministry is to provide opportunities for deacons’ wives to study the word of God to keep spiritually renewed, to model Christian virtues, and to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the congregation and community.
Ministry Tasks
The Deaconesses Ministry works in close alignment with all the ministries of the Church by providing assistance and support. Among the duties are;
To assist the Pastor, deacons and membership in matters pertaining the welfare and work of the Church when needed,
To prepare the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month,
To prepare female candidates for baptism,
To provide outreach to the community,
To pray for the Pastor and congregation on a daily basis,
To prepare the Lord’s Supper and accompany our husbands as they visit to sick and shut-in individuals, and
To serve as mentors to prospective deaconesses whose husbands are preparing for the deaconship.
