MARTIN LUTHER KING CENTER – FEED THE HUNGRY
It is amazing how many of our brothers and sisters live on the streets or in circumstances that are unacceptable in America. Our highways and high rises allow us to drive swiftly over or pass them. This unassuming one hour of serving a meal and sharing will allow you to touch the lives that many deem untouchables. You may simply pass out a plate and a cup of punch or feel led to listen to someone’s story and offer a prayer. All service is welcomed. First (1st) Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Martin Luther King Center/ Pennsylvania Ave.
AIDS SUPPER CLUB
Minister to those who are HIV positive or diagnosed with AIDS by preparing part of a meal. Provide some love from God and from the kitchen. Nourish not only the body but the soul. Meal preparations are delivered to the church and a small team delivers to the location to serve. Every fourth (4th) Tuesday of each month.
NW HARLLEE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and TOWNVIEW
Our service to theses schools has included providing school uniforms, attending PTA meetings, providing Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets and food at other times to families, supporting the staff and the school officials, and reading to children. We want to re-energize our efforts to serve the least of these – our children. We are that village that it takes to raise our children.
WARM WOMEN
We want to increase our efforts to support the women of WARM. We need clothing, toiletries, mentors, teachers and a host of other Must Have’s.
BACK TO SCHOOL RALLY
An August rally that provides school supplies to children, practical suggestions for parents and spiritual support for families. This effort requires important year-around planning to pool resources from all parts of the Dallas community. Join the team that educates, feeds, clothes, provides supplies, and prays for children and parents.
