Minister Vincent T. Parker, Pastor

“As pastor/teacher I view my role as a leader who is the lead servant. The model of leadership left by Jesus Christ was one characterized by an attitude of servanthood and self-sacrifice. A ministry characterized by love and devotion to God and creative innovation in service to others is my goal”

Pastor Vincent T. Parker accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of seven. He received his ordination in March 1, 1986 by the Baptist Ministers’ Conference of Washington, D.C. and Vicinity. He has traveled and served abroad to countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, Israel and Italy.Pastor Parker has been the pastor of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church for ten years. Under his pastoral leadership, Pastor Parker has designed a ministry characterized by love and devotion to God and creative innovation in service to others. He is also committed to the development of a team ministry approach, which allows individuals to exercise their spiritual gift for the growth and maturity of the body of Christ. Through this approach to ministry, such programs as the Adult Rehabilitation Ministry (ARM), Women Adult Rehabilitation Ministry (WARM), Outreach Ministry, Prison Ministry, Senior’s Ministry, building projects such as church remodeling and “The Gate House” has brought change and servitude to the community.
Pastor Parker’s special burden is to reach and disciple African-American men who will then minister to the African American family, which is the foundation of the local community. Through expository preaching and teaching of God's word, he seeks to equip both men and women for ministry to their family, church and community.

He received his master of Theology from the Dallas Theological Seminary and is a member of the North Texas Regional Convention of the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas. His wife Sister Janice S. Parker joins him in ministry as she has developed a program designed for the enrichment of women in ministry. Pastor Parker and Sister Parker are the parents of three beautiful children Maggie, Moriah, and Mekhi Parker.
