My heart and my prayers go out to the family, the Golden Gate M.B. Church family, and most of all to my good friend Rev. C.B.T. Smith. We have lost a great soul, but God knows best. Thank you Rev. Smith for so graciously giving to the Elite News Religious Hall of Fame museum, where you were in the first class 2000. You are a great example of a man of God, pastor, husband, and comunity leader, and this tribute to your wife, is part of your testamony.

Lot of Love Debra Blair Abron

I came through the Disciple Ministry in 1992, Sis. Smith always had words of encouragement she will be missed by the whole city expecially in the bottom.

Misty Clarice (Little Jenkins) Sanders (05.05.2008 @ 13:40:33)
Sister Rosie Lee Smith was a virtuous woman. (Prov. 31:10-31) She was the quiet giant, princess of peace, the spirit of comradery. She put on the whole amour of God, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace. (Eph. 6:10-17) She set the standard, values, and principles for the women of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church where her husband Dr. C. B. T. Smith was the worlds? greatest pastor of pastor?s. His teaching and her values still remain with us continuously. Today, she sits in her rightful place among that great cloud of witnesses watching over us from above.

I don't know what your destiny will be, but the one thing I know; The only one among you who will be happy are those who will have sought and found to learn how to serve.

What an awesome blessing it is to have a life time of cherished memories with someone so special as your soul mate. Certainly in the land of perfect day; as the mist shall roll away, we will understand it better by and by. Your legacy that has been embraced by many shall always be remembered; it has provided a source to draw from throughout life circumstances.

May the Lord continue to bless you.

Kandice Richardson (04.21.2008 @ 16:01:41)
I grew up in Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church when Pastor Smith and Sis. Smith were the spiritual heads of the church. Her tender, loving spirit was always a comfort to me as a child. I used to sit in the row behind her and she would always smile and pass me a peppermint. I admired her grace and beauty. She was definitely a true role model of what a Christian lady should be and how one should poise herself. I thank God for her life and hope that others will strive continue her legacy.

Joe and Beverly Taylor (04.21.2008 @ 10:12:31)
