Vincent T. Parker has been the lead Pastor of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church for more than 20 years. He views his role as Pastor who is the lead servant. The model of leadership demonstrated by Jesus Christ is one characterized by an attitude of servanthood and self-sacrifice. His mission is to lead by serving others with a ministry characterized by love and devotion to God and creative innovation.

Pastor Parker is committed to developing a team ministry approach which allows individuals to exercise their spiritual gifts for the growth and maturity of the body of Christ. Through this approach to ministry, programs such as the Adult Rehabilitation Ministry (ARM), Women’s Adult Rehabilitation Ministry (WARM), Outreach Ministry, Senior’s Ministry and building projects such as church remodeling and “The Gate House” have brought change and service to the community.

One of Pastor Parker’s areas of passion is to reach and disciple African-American men who will then minister to the African-American family, which is the foundation of the local community. His wife, Janice S. Parker, joins him in ministry as she leads a ministry designed to enrich and empower women in ministry. It is their desire to equip both men and women for ministry to their families, church and community through expository preaching and solid biblical teaching and leadership.

Minister Parker is dedicated to helping transform “The Bottom” community into a vibrant area for families within the city of Dallas. He currently serves as Board Chair of Golden S.E.E.D.S Foundation, Dean of Congress of North Texas District Association, and is a Board Member of Trinity River Conservancy, New Friends New Life Men’s Advocacy Group, and ARM. He is a also a member of the Missionary Baptist Convention of Texas.

Vincent Parker accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of seven. He received his ordination on March 1, 1986 by the Baptist Ministers’ Conference of Washington, D.C. and Vicinity. He has traveled and served abroad in Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, Israel and Italy. After moving to Dallas, he studied at and received his Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and is currently a member of the North Texas Regional Convention of the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas.

Vincent and Janice Parker are the parents of three beautiful children, Maggie, Moriah, and Mekhi Parker.
